Co-founder : Manju Mulchandani
Manju’s passion to give back to the society and her constant efforts to help those in need, sowed the seeds for Life Wins Foundation. With more than 10 years of Experience with Public Relations agencies and renowned media houses including, The Times of India Group, The Indian Express and The Ananda Bazaar . An MBA in Marketing, she left the media world to take up the massive responsibilities of motherhood.
In 2015, her relative was diagnosed with breast cancer and while accompanying her to Tata Memorial Hospital, Manju interacted with other patients. She realised that the economically weaker section of the patients need financial, moral, emotional support and awareness about the disease. She decided to actively contribute and aid these warriors in their battle against cancer. She joined the Tata Memorial Hospital as a volunteer and helped in PR activities for Cancer Awareness. She motivated people to support the cause, collaborated with NGOs and worked towards creating awareness in Cancer prevention and testing.
Then she joined Tata Memorial Centre Online (TMC) – Navya, an online expert opinion service for cancer patients, and managed their PR.
She also collaborated with various colleges in Mumbai and organised cultural activities and festive celebrations for kids suffering from cancer at Tata Memorial Hospital and their families.
Simultaneously, she was personally involved in patient support by accompanying them to TMH, making their treatment process easier, helping them understand the disease and treatment procedures and supporting them throughout their treatment. Manju eventually decided to do all this in a more structured way with the support of many like minded individuals and Corporates, who supported this wonderful cause. Thus giving birth to Life Wins Foundation with her Co-founder Shomali, who shared the same passion.
