Cancer Screening Camp was successfully conducted on 1st December 2024 at Air IndiaColony, Santacruz East, Mumbai. More than 100 people were screened. The camp wasattended by 45 females and 55 males and a total of 11 suspects were found. These suspects will be escorted to Tata Memorial for further investigation. The team of doctor had Dr. Kishore Vasvani, Physician (MS); Dr. Michelle Fonsceca, Gynecologist ; Dr. Neena Gynecologist and ENT surgeon Dr. Kisan.
Mira Road East
Cancer awareness camp was conducted in Mira Road East, Thane district in association with Sankalp Apang Seva Sanstha and Gyan Yog Edu Trust.
The speaker was Arpita Chakraborty, a Medical social worker (MSW) from Preventive Oncology department at Tata Memorial Hospital. She gave very useful information about breast cancer, cervical cancer and oral cancer. 60 women participating and sensitised about all three types of cancer and how important is the regular checkup , once you cross 40 years of age. The awareness was created about Early detection is the ONLY cure to cancer.
Sahaara Charitable Society
Life wins Foundation conducted cancer awareness session on August 22nd , 2024 in the red light area of Turbhe in association with Sahaara Charitable Society . 40 CSWs attended the session and were given information on Cervical cancer , Breast cancer and Oral cancer.
Ms Kiran Shinde from TMH, Preventive Oncology department conducted the session and explained how early detection can save lives. It was a very informative sessions and we saw good participation from community.
Jawahar Nagar Khar, East Mumbai
Life Wins Foundation organised an awareness session on oral, breast, and cervical cancer for approximately 30 women today on 31st July 2024 Jawahar Nagar Khar East Mumbai.
Arpita Chakraborty from Tata Memorial Hospital Preventive Oncology department conducted the session and explained the importance of early detection in cervical, breast and oral cancer and how early detection can save lives. It was a very informative sessions and we saw good participation from community.
Karunya Trust, Bhandup West
Awareness session was conducted at Karunya Trust, Bhandup West on June 13th, 2024. The awareness session was done in order to create and spread awareness about cancer prevention and early detection of oral , breast and cervical cancer among underprivileged sections of the society. The session was done by MSW Ms. Kiran Shinde from preventive oncology department of Tata Memorial Hospital. Total around 97 people attended the session.
New Panvel, Navi Mumbai
We at Life Wins Foundation conducted an awareness session for oral , breast and cervical cancer at Good Life Health Club, New Panvel, Navi Mumbai on May 11th, 2024. The session was conducted for the women of Good Life Health Club. LWF organised mobilisation with the key person who is the head of the health club. Women were also briefed about procedures of the screening of oral , breast and cervical cancer. The session was conducted by MSW Ms. Kiran Shinde from Preventive Oncology Department of Tata Memorial Hospital. Total 50 women attended the session.
Navi Mumbai, Airoli
Life Wins Foundation conducted awareness session for oral , breast and cervical cancer at Maji Nagarsevak Gajanan Ramji Kotkar School No- 49, Navi Mumbai, Airoli. The session was conducted for women . LWF organised mobilisation meetings in the community. Women were also briefed about procedures of the screening of oral , breast and cervical cancer. The session was conducted by MSW Ms. Kiran Shinde from Preventive Oncology Department of Tata Memorial Hospital. Total 47 women attended the session.
Akurli Village, Panvel
We at Life Wins Foundation conducted an awareness session for oral , breast and cervical cancer at St. Andrews International School and Jr. college, Akurli Village, Panvel on April 13th, 2024. The session was conducted for the female teachers of the school. LWF organised mobilisation with the key person who is the teacher of the school. Women were also briefed about procedures of the screening of oral , breast and cervical cancer. The session was conducted by MSW Ms. Kiran Shinde from Preventive Oncology Department of Tata Memorial Hospital. Total 57 women attended the session.
Shivaji Nagar, Govandi
We at Life Wins Foundation conducted an awareness session for oral , breast and cervical cancer at Karunya Trust, Shivaji Nagar, Govandi on February 29th, 2024. The session was conducted for women of the underprivileged section of the society. LWF organised mobilisation meetings in communities and audio visual presentation was given. Women were also briefed about procedures of the screening of oral , breast and cervical cancer. The session was conducted by MSW Ms. Kiran Shinde from Preventive Oncology Department of Tata Memorial Hospital. Total around 85 women attended the session.

Sanman Society BEST Colony, Goregaon West
Awareness session was conducted at Sanman Society BEST Colony, Goregaon West on February 14th, 2024. The awareness session was done in order to create and spread awareness about cancer prevention and early detection of oral , breast and cervical cancer among underprivileged sections of the society. The session was done by MSW Ms. Kiran Shinde from preventive oncology department of Tata Memorial Hospital. Total around 60 people attended the session, 45 women and 15 men.
Khair E Ummat Trust, Sandhurst Road
Awareness session was conducted at Khair E Ummat Trust, Sandhurst Road on January 20th, 2024. The awareness session was done in order to create and spread awareness about cancer prevention and early detection among underprivileged sections of the society by organising mobilisation meetings in communities, using audio-visual presentations and verbal interactions through charts with pictures. The session was done especially for women and they were briefed about procedures of the screening of breast cancer and cervical cancer. Total 50 women attended the session.
Marol Gaon, Andheri East
Awareness session was conducted at Marol Gaon, Andheri East on 12th January, 2024. The awareness session was done in order to create and spread awareness about cancer prevention and early detection of oral , breast and cervical cancer among underprivileged sections of the society The session was done by senior person Dr. Kshama Vairagi from preventive oncology department of Tata Memorial Hospital people from Community were briefed about procedures of the screening of breast cancer and cervical cancer also to have clarity at screening camp. Total around 75 women attended the session.
